Ector County Greater Works dba serves the low income elderly and disabled with 20#-40# of food each month.  The food boxes are designed to feed the person for 7-10 days.  We deliver the third week of the month in order to cover the last week as their checks run out.  Most of our clients have as little as $30 for food for the month after rent, utilities and medications.  We also supply information assistance for other services in the community for our clients. We serve over 400 individuals monthly in Ector County.

In addition to providing food we maintain a mission store of gently used clothing to the community at no cost and in recent years we have opened a thrift store of donated items other than clothing, which proceeds provide facility repairs and operations budget monies.  The thrift store has provided not only recycle of goods but has helped us to maintain this facility.

Jo Myron is the new facility manager and supervises all the volunteers, organizes the routes, and fills in where ever needed to feed the people.  In addition to route deliveries, food is distributed to people who come to the local facility.

Volunteers from all works of life enjoy the privilege's of serving their community each month preparing and distributing the food boxes. The clients enjoy the visits from the volunteers as they receive their food.

Ector County Greater Works dba funded through an annual garage sale, donations from local churches, individuals, corporations and grants from local area foundations.

Ector County Greater Works, Inc. keeps an inventory of gently used clothes & medical equipment such as walkers, motorized chairs, shower chairs, etc. for clients.
